Last Friday's dismal "Job Report" for May 2012 is not just a blip in the unemployment statistics, it is a warning!! To keep doing the same thing over and over again is the definition of insanity according to Sigmund Freud.

I heard Secretary of Labor Hilda Solice say that Congress needs to pass legislation for spending on public safety so local and state government can hire more employees, that's the issue!  I support public safety and understand the need for it, but having local services funded through Washington seems to increase the overhead, takes away local control, and adds to our National Debt.

When will the current administrations in Washington and Sacramento figure out that government jobs do not create a SUSTAINABLE economy for all Americans?  I have not seen a growth agenda from either capital in this century; I have seen new rules to control the economy to meet the needs of the anti-business groups to control other people's choices.

I notice government in the large states and cities are concerned about the elimination of bags that are given away free by business to assist shoppers or controlling the size of a soft drink containers, but allow bicyclists the freedom of the public through fares without regard to public safety, our priorities are really backwards.

We need to get the country and state moving towards economic growth, the way to do that is to create an economic growth plan! The President in his State of the Union speech mentioned the easing of regulations like the one calling out a milk spill as a farm toxic spill. This is just one in a long line of ridiculous regulations that burden common thinking for the growth of government employment.

It will take years to get this country turned around into the economic juggernaut that created the prosperity of mid 20th century America. Let us start now, if we could put a "man on the moon in 9 years" we can get this economy going again in less time if that is our national goal.

That's what I think....
