We are a voluntary, action-oriented organization of businesses and professionals working together to promote the commercial and economic vitality of Culver City, CA, and to foster civic improvements that benefit the general welfare of those who live, work and visit here.

We’re especially excited to continue this celebration at our upcoming Women in Business Leadership Awards & Luncheon, where we will recognize extraordinary women who are making a lasting impact in our community.

Barbara Matlen – Head of Accommodations for the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games, bringing more than 15 years of experience in global sporting events including multiple Olympic Games and FIFA tournaments.

Michelle Fisher – Award-winning journalist and co-anchor of ABC7 Eyewitness News Los Angeles, known for her impactful storytelling and dedication to community engagement.

Meet our Keynote Speaker: Barbara Matlen
Barbara Matlen serves as the Head of Accommodations for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, where she leads the strategy and delivery of housing solutions for one of the largest global events ever hosted in Los Angeles. With more than 15 years of experience in international sporting events, she has contributed to the Sochi 2014, Rio 2016, PyeongChang 2018, and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, and has led accommodations planning for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. She is also the co-founder of Kreate Events, producing corporate sponsorship activations and experiential events.

What started as a family tradition in Padova, Italy, where Chef Paola Da Re and her siblings learned to cook alongside their mother Maria Giovanna, has grown into a beloved neighborhood restaurant bringing authentic Italian flavors to our community. Through cherished family recipes, fresh ingredients, and a passion for tradition, Pasta Sisters continues to deliver extraordinary dishes that reflect the heart of Italian home cooking.
